Position Summary

Overall management of and planning responsibility for multiple or all of the following disciplines: Service Desk, Network Services, Systems Administration, ERP Applications, Non-ERP applications, Infrastructure or other IT disciplines. Provides effective and efficient computer systems/applications/services/support to enable the department to meet its business plan. Coaches and directs staff and manages operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental objectives and budget. Works directly with senior management to determine the goals of IT within broad outlines provided by the executive management and provide technical leadership and project coordination. Manages IT senior staff and other managers. May manage/support one or more areas of specialization in a division. May have global or multi-site responsibilities. Handles special projects, as assigned


Basic Purpose

Manages the global Oracle EBS implementation program and leads the development, implementation, maintenance and administration of the organization’s financial systems. Establishes global best practices for financial systems use and ensures that these practices are applied throughout the organizations. Manages the multi-location and multicultural team and responsible for the training and development of the team.

Principal Accountabilities

Financial Systems

  • Provide overall guidance and leadership to ensure the successful implementation, ongoing maintenance, administration and continued improvement of the core financial accounting platform
  • Meet with system owners, decision makers, and end users to define the business financial operations requirements, goals, and identify and resolve issues. It is also the responsibility of financial systems manager to define the scope of work, deliverables, time frames, and methodology.
  • Review and analyze existing financial systems for its effectiveness and identify opportunities for business processes improvement. In collaboration with system owners and business leaders, they will prioritize and develop new strategies to improve or further leverage the company’s financial system.
  • Establishes best practices for financial systems use and ensures that these practices are used throughout the organization.
  • Create and execute change management, communication, and training strategies and plans.
  • Responsible for communicating to executive project sponsors, senior leaders, users and team members on the status of the program and the key project events.
  • Responsible for the mentoring and development of the financial systems team members.
  • Manage the internal change management processes to comply with SOX control requirements.
  • Provide oversight on the support tickets resolution and manage the performance of the production support activities.
  • Responsible for defining and executing the support methodology to ensure quality of the solution and shorten the time to market.

ERP Implementation

  • Lead the planning and implementation of the Oracle EBS rollout program.
  • Responsible for defining and executing the implementation methodology to reduce program risk and to meet both external and internal SOX & Change Control requirements
  • Facilitate the definition of program scope, goals and deliverables per client’s needs.
  • Understand client requirements and has the responsibility to design a comprehensive strategy for achieving successful outcome of the program.
  • Analyze business/technical requirements and objectives, perform fit/gap analysis, and provide client recommendations.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with subject matter experts and program solution architect to solve complex problems which arise in the project and responsible for the outcome and finish the project with great quality.
  • Manage program methodology, deliverables and resource requirements.
  • Comply with company SOX control requirements.
  • Develop full scale project and resource plans.
  • Work with client and program management to satisfactorily plan and schedule project timelines to guarantee on-time delivery for client
  • Track project assignment, issues and deliverables and communicate with client sponsors and program management to deliver on-time and within scope.
  • Provide direction and support to project team.
  • Keep all stakeholders updated on progress of program.
  • Identify potential risks throughout the lifecycle of the program, coordinate risk evaluation, communicate risk exposure to program management and develop and coordination the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the project documentation content quality and completeness including meeting minutes, requirement traceability matrix, issue log, use case inventory, RICE matrix, design documents, technical specifications, process documents, data conversion mapping, system deployment documents, system test scripts, user training documents etc.
  • Implement and manage program changes and interventions to achieve defined project outputs.
  • Organize and coordinate key program events such as Discovery, CRP, SIT, UAT, Training, Status Update, Go Live, Lessons Learned etc.
  • End to End management and co-ordination of the program and responsible for the successful completion of the program.


  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math or educational equivalent.
  • 12 years IT related experience including 8 years supervisory or management experience.
  • Expert interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent understanding of current applications and trends in IT. Excellent knowledge of all phases of IT including network administration, computer support, help desk, software development or specialization in one area. Experience managing other managers.

Other key factors:

  • MBA/CPA/Charter Accountancy equivalent is preferred.
  • 15 years’ experience in supporting Oracle EBS Suite, 10 years of working with multi-national companies and 5 years management experience is required.
  • SME of Oracle EBS core Finance and Project Accounting modules.
  • Extensive knowledge with Oracle Manufacturing and Supply Chain modules.
  • Extensive knowledge of both US. and International accounting standards and processes.
  • Functioned as program manager of minimum 3 full life cycle regional multi-country Oracle implementations.
  • Experience with leading change management related activities such as management/organizational. communication, user training, training content development.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle AIM methodology.
  • Experience with supporting single global instance multi-national operation.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle EBS data models.
  • Experience writing SQL or PL/SQL scripts.
  • Extensive experience with Oracle ERP technology platform.
