Job Description

SUMMARY:  A Houston Financial Services organization is seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join their team in a full time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES: A Houston Financial Services organization is seeking an experienced IT Support Analyst to join their team in a full time position. You will be responsible for a variety of Desktop Support operations including support to the organizations personnel in the use of computers, on-line applications, user-based peripherals, automation products as well as ATM's and ATM support issues.  

Responsibilities include:

•         To insure that all systems are backed-up daily, with back up of data stored off-site.  Clean tape drives each week.

•         To complete assigned period-end processing and reports as scheduled, with zero errors.

•         To ensure that ATM issue are handled promptly, that staff and management are kept informed, and that reports are prepared accurately and timely.

•         To maintain up to date IP listing of PC;s.

•         To complete requests for desktop assistance in a timely and courteous manner, involving other IT personnel as needed.

•         To ensure that all lap tops re maintained in good working order.

•         To promote and support he IT Security Policy with end-users and notify management of policy infractions.

•         To maintain an effective working relationship with all other employees and maintain a spirit of cooperation with other members of the IT team to resolve problems and assist end users.

•         To maintain a professional work environment and business like appearance.

•         To maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.

•         Is responsible for compliance with all required regulations and policies, especially with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) policies, procedures and regulations.

Primary Duties include:

-     Trouble shooting, maintenance, and repair of PCs, printers, terminals, and other office equipment, coordinating with technical support and vendors as necessary.  Coordinates with other IT staff to revolve hardware, software and network problems.  Responsible for maintenance of PCs in SL Board room and Training room. (40%)

-      Builds, upgrades and documents PCs as needed. (20%)

-      Monitors ATM machines, coordinates support calls and prepares monthly report.(20%)

-      Performs daily computer functions. Manages back up tape production and storage.  Cleans tape drive at least weekly.  Completes period end processing and producing of assigned reports.(10%)

-      Makes daily mail and backup tape pickups and deliveries. (5%)

-      Performs other related duties as assigned. (5%)


-          College Degree

-          2-5 years of similar or related experience

-          A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  Work involved extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.  Work may involve motivating or influencing others.  Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities becomes necessary.

-          Functional IT abilities, including PC hardware and software.
