Job Description

SUMMARY:  A large Houston energy companies security team i seeking an experienced Business analyst to join their team for a 6 month project with the strong potential to be extended.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 You will work closely with architects, business partners, and other IT and cybersecurity functions to solve difficult, rapidly changing security challenges all the way from the network perimeter and the cloud, up to and including the end-point device.

You will  coordinate the migration project from Fireye to Wildfire for APT (malware detection security technology). Will be developing communications, presentations, diagrams, scheduling migration. Working with other IT groups and helping drive the project team to completion. Will take some PM type responsibilities as well. Will be managing the resourcing and ensuring team is working on schedule, and be communicating the status of the project to the leadership team. 

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: 
• Manage and deploy new APT Technology globally (Palo Alto Wildfire) 
• Lead the business analysis and project management responsibilities to implemented new security and threat intelligence capabilities. 

• Document and communicate the results of the technical leads efforts. 

• Conduct meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings. 

• Allocate resources and maintaining cost efficiency. 

• Manage projects, developing project plans, and monitoring performance. 

• Manage competing resources and priorities. 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS: 

• Occasional after hours and weekend support may be required. 

REQUIREMENTS: 

-Bachelors degree desired but not required.  Must have a High School Diploma. and solid experience.

-Must have skills: PowerPoint, Visio, team player, reliable, good communication for presentations. 

- Experience with Malware detection security technology is desired.
