Job Description

SUMMARY:  A large Houston Energy company is seeking an experienced  Sharepoint Specialist to join their team for a 6 month project with the option to be extended.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Our client is seeking a SharePoint Knowledge Management Specialist to help support the global Operational Excellence and Health, Safety and Environment Business Unit in Houston, TX. This position is open to support the current amount of work now required for ~40 sites post-migration to SharePoint Online (2016). The SharePoint Knowledge Management Specialist will be exposed to operational excellence and HES awareness. This position does have the potential to extend or transition into a full-time opportunity, based upon assignment performance. 

The selected candidate will assist the HES department in managing these ~40 site collections within SharePoint Online (2016). 

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Computer Science/Science equivalent required 
• 2-4 years’ experience managing information management system required. If candidate has 5 or more years’ experience managing information management systems, it can be considered an equivalent of the required degree. 
• Expertise (at least 2-4 years) as a Site Collection Administrator in SharePoint 2013/Online/2016 required, including associated applications like SharePoint Designer. 
• Experience with Office 360, understanding from technical side how the Office Products interact with SharePoint – i.e. Power BI, Full Microsoft Suite, Adobe Photoshop 
• Experience with HTML and JavaScript within a SharePoint environment required 
-Strong communication, professional, highly organized, customer focused, etc. required 
- Experience supporting SharePoint permission requests, fixing broken links, creating/updating lists and libraries, updating content on pages, and reconfiguring permissions and sites to optimize performance and user independence/capability going forward) required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 
• Houston local candidates highly preferred. 
Previous IM or SharePoint Admin experience within Oil/Gas or large Enterprise organization highly preferred 
•Previous Chevron experience highly preferred 
•SharePoint Next Project experience/familiarity preferred. 
• Basic project management/change management element experience -- stakeholder engagement, etc. 
SharePoint Certification strongly desired.
