Job Description

Southeast Chemical Company is seeking a Customer Service Representative that is passionate about providing outstanding customer service. This is an amazing opportunity for personal growth and professional advancement. 

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to customers in a professional manner and understand their particular needs. Responsible for purchasing, vendor management, and logistics function and maintain positive relationships with vendors. Answer the main phone line and handle general office/clerical, direct delivery carriers, sort in-coming mail, data entry and any other work as needed assigned by Office Manager.

Customer Service

  • Provision of support services to internal and external customers
  • Communicates effectively to interface with customers and team members, promoting positive customer relations
  • Accept orders via phone or fax for input into the computer; expedite and track orders through production
  • Maintains Customer Order Log and Price Log
  • Prepares New Orders, Sales confirmations and ensures COA and MSDS is available for each shipment
  • Customer Complaints
  • Support to promotes new business opportunities
  • Prepare non conformances and follows up on claims
  • Filing, typing, answering main phone line and other task may be assigned on as needed basis
  • Understands needs of the customer and promotes new business opportunities
  • Filing, typing or any new projects may be assigned on an as needed basis


  • Maintaining Inventory of all products, ensuring availability of material for new orders
  • Communicating with Production Supervisor when inventory will be available
  • Coordinates the Delivery Carrier
  • Manages order fulfillment and distribution
  • Vendor management to maintain contracts to ensure the company is purchasing at negotiated prices
  • Data entry of Purchase Orders and Receiving documents
  • Discussions with vendors on availability of material
  • Coordinates with Quality Control on new raw material approvals
  • Dispatches customer orders, choosing carrier, prepares documents to scale all trucks in & out
  • Prepares and distributes shipping report, packing list and bill of lading
  • Purchasing of all office orders and raw materials through our approved vendors
  • Responsible for updating database which is accessible to the operation team, and ensuring all the information about vendor is correct and accurate
  • Filing, typing, answering main phone line and other task may be assigned on as needed basis
