Job Description

CORPORATE FINANCE DIRECTOR 

Overview

Oilfield services company is seeking a Corporate Finance Director to report to the CFO.  Will assist in building out the corporate team and will be responsible for SEC reporting, investor relations, internal audit, and corporate finance.  Compensation to $200,000 plus cash bonus and LTI.                

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • SEC Filing Preparation - Oversee the preparation of all SEC related material including all financial statement elements (statements, footnotes, MD&A, etc). Research and investigate any technical accounting matters to resolution included needed accounting treatments.
  • Investor Relations - Prepare investor relations materials including graphs, updates. Complete all investor related analysis and forward looking financial information that would support public relations efforts. Evaluate and contribute to building company vision material.
  • Board / Governance Issues - Assist in Board and Committee material preparation and facilitate resolution of governance issues.
  • Strategic Planning - Support the executive team with any financial analysis needed to help evaluate strategic opportunities.
  • ERM Process Oversight - Develop a company enterprise risk management process to be overseen by the Company's board.
  • Internal Audit - Oversee development of an internal audit and compliance function for the company. Would oversee devoted management resource.
  • SOX Compliance Plan - Oversee development of company's structure of internal controls and transition plan to adopt designed controls.
  • IT - Oversee information technology initiatives of the company contributing to the development of a consolidation and analytic tool and ERP transition.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Defining Key Business KPOs/KPIs Going Forward
    • Oversight of Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
    • Building consolidated budgeting and forecasting process
    • Preparing management reporting information
  • Treasury / Capital Management
    • Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
    • Cash management (distributing capital, investing, etc)

Requirements:

  • BBA in accounting or finance.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years in Big4 audit with energy clients (oilfield services preferred) and industry experience.
  • Strong ERP experience required.  Financial software implementation experience is a big plus.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel.
