Job Description

Our Galleria client is seeking an A/R Billing Clerk to assist their accounting team during their busy season. The position includes: 

The AR Billing clerk position is accountable for creating invoice and credit memos, issuing them to customers by all necessary means, and updating customer files. 

 Principal Accountabilities:

  • Generate and send out invoices
  • Carry out billing and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Issue monthly customer statements
  • Process credit memos
  • Track exceptions between the shipping log and invoice register
  • Enter invoices into customer invoicing websites
  • Submit invoices by electronic data interchange
  • Process adjustments
  • Communicate with the field via phone, email, mail or personally
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Collect data and prepare monthly metrics

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED desired 
  • Knowledge of general accounting principals
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in billing
  • Experience with international billing a plus
  • 10-key – basic math 
  • Good written and oral communication skills 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
