SUMMARY: A Houston software company specializing in robust cloud-based software for the Human Resource industry is seeking an experienced Software Implementation analyst/consultant - Accounting to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Implementation Consultant provides critical support to the operations team via system and business knowledge. The Implementation Consultant develops a relationship with the customer and documents the customer’s current business processes and provides a customized implementation scope to the implementation team to ensure a successful implementation. The customer relationship will continue post-implementation as the Implementation Consultant will be a key advocate for customer success, support and translating clients’ needs into PSR (product specifications) for enhancements.   

Key areas of responsibility and job functions include:

  • Provide insight to and support of the customer throughout the full project lifecycle (Sales-implementation-support).
  • Configure Companies Software to work for customer
  • Design interface mappings between Software and customers’ accounting systems  (QuickBooks, Great Plains, etc…)
  • Provide GL Mapping, payroll account mappings, etc…
  • Could also assist on configuring payroll, benefits and other modules as needed and expertise grows
  • Documents and maps customers’ business processes and third-party integrations and identifies areas of opportunity for increased client satisfaction (either during sales or implementation process)
  • Prepares implementation scope document to hand off to the rest of the implementation team.
  • Acts as liaison between the client and the business and effectively communicates client needs related to software functionality and performance.
  • Identifies future development needs based on client processes and provides development team with design documentation for client-specific development.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business needs and works with technical resources to design effective, simple, and creative automation solutions.
  • Prepares and conducts user training.
  • Share knowledge of payroll tax and accounting practices and process with the client and the internal team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4-year degree (preferred degree in computer science, accounting, business or similar)
  • Is a team player with strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience implementing ERP, Payroll or other application software  
  • Preferred experience with PEO business  
  • Has an advanced knowledge of accounting functions
  • Technical understanding of interface and data conversion
  • Has a base knowledge of payroll, benefits, and treasury functions.
  • Has excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Presents ideas effectively, either orally or in writing.
  • Plan and complete assignments within deadlines.
  • Preferred Business process or VSM mapping and consulting experience
  • Preferred Experience with Microsoft project
  • Preferred PMP certification or equivalent a plus
