Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the VoIP phone system. System maintenance, software upgrades, documentation, and upkeep of impacted system standards. Fine tuning/improvement of system configuration, and providing recommendations of further system enhancement based on expertise and experience.
This role will also assist in maintaining the networking environment. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, and scheduling upgrades. Act as technical escalation point for network-related issues reported to Help Desk team. Some after-hours work as circumstances require. Occasional domestic travel to field sites for network maintenance/upgrades.
This role requires proficiency in VoIP phone systems, Problem Solving, LAN/WAN Networking Knowledge, Network Design and Implementation, Network Troubleshooting, and Cisco Hardware Configuration. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
