SUMMARY: A Houston Energy company is seeking an experienced IT Risk, cyber, crisis mgmt., audit analyst to join their team.  In this role you will establish organizational policies and procedures as well as ensure implementation and adherence to risk mitigation controls across the organization on behalf of the Information Technology organization. 


The SR. IT Risk Mitigation Analyst will report to the IT Director and provide strategic planning and tactical delivery leadership across organizational risk impacts.  Specific areas include crisis management, functional cyber security awareness and prevention, governance, audit compliance, disaster impact prevention, and developing, communicating, and implementing organizational risk mitigation tools, strategies, reporting, and measurements. 

Essential functions include:

  • Designing and implementing an overall risk management process within the Information technology team including analysis of risk events, risk exposure, and technical impacts when risks occur
  • Perform risk assessments and evaluations
  • Work with external audit teams for risk identification and mitigation opportunities
  • Risk reporting
  • Working across IT for business continuity plans
  • Build risk awareness across staff and providing approved risk mitigation strategies across the organization.
  • Asist in ongoing implementation of sound risk management practices and controls while remaining pragmatic in how these are designed and implemented


  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in organizational risk mitigation and identification
  •  Preferred demonstrated experience working across organizational risk areas including cyber, crisis, audit, governance, etc…
  • Strong familiarity with Information Technology tools, delivery and processes
  • Preferred experience working in the Oil and Gas industry and associated tools and organizational needs.
