SUMMARY:

Louisiana based company seeks strong Production Manager for successful and growing plant.

DESCRIPTION:

Our client is a financially strong, growing and healthy organization committed to the highest safety and quality standards.  The company has a sterling reputation world-wide and need to hire a Production Manager to report to a VP Manufacturing.  This role will manage a large team and is responsible for supervising, mentoring direct-report staff, organizing and cross-training teams to maximize production flexibility.  This position ensures production goals are accomplished, to develop and efficiently utilize resources to maximize production goals. 

This role works with safety, quality, environmental  and cost control areas. 

Other duties include:

1.  Reviews production schedule to ensure plants’ ability to supply product of quantity and quality requested.

2.  Facilitates the daily staff meeting.

3.  Attends meetings at all levels of management/personnel.

4.  Reports company related information to all employees through bi-annual department meetings.

5.  Maintains positive business environment for company through participation in community and civic organizations

6.  Represents company in industry associations at local, state and federal level.

7.  Performs other duties as assigned.

8.  Directs and manages all department heads

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or related field, or equivalent experience.

10 years or equivalent management experience, including budgetary and operational responsibility.

Experience in analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing new programs to meet company needs.

Demonstrated knowledge of employment law at state and federal levels.

Experience responding to lawsuits and claims with various government agencies.

Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and address employee/ management concerns to achieve win/win results.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work within budgetary guidelines and support corporate goals and programs.

Strong oral, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
